Congrats Lady Cats for a great season!

 

the 7th grade lady cats traveled to Brenham for their last game yesterday. Then silver team started out slow in the first set, but came out victorious 25 to 23, Lauryn Scruggs had 7 points and two kills, Hayden Holcombe had 6 points and 1 kill, Kelsey siddons had 5 points, Ashton gully had 3, Camryn Garner and Madison McCleary had 2 a piece. In the second set, the lady cats worked just as hard and came out winners 25 to 20 behind the servers again, along with Cheyenne Nunley with 5 and Ashton with 6. Brelynn Wagner was guarding the net while Madison Schultz was a passing  machine, Shannon Gabriel set up the ball, While Kayla Kubleka waiting to jump high and put it over the net. Awesome season silver team! The silver teams record ended 8 wins and 3 losses.
The maroon team struggled the first set, losing 25 to 23, 
but they came out with a bang in the second set, Mikala Slaughter started them off with five service points in a row, of her 6 in that set and one kill, followed by Crystal Hosea with 6, Brooke Gully with 5, Maddie Meyer with 5 points and one kill, Carmen Malave with 3,  and Audrey Parkerson with 2, but she had 8 digs on the night. The lady cats forced set 3. Ariel and Shayla were ready at the net, knowing where to put the ball in the brenham court, Claire Garner and Kaitlyn Gilmore were all over the court ready to pass, Carmen and Audrey ready to set up the attack, Stephanie Reckling protecting the right side, with good rallies and bad rallies the lady cats, clawed their way through the set, only to fall two points short of victory. The maroon teams recorded ended, 10 wins 6 losses. Awesome season girls!!! Coach Westbrook would also like to thank, Chyann Norwood, Christina Fogle, Cheyenne Cook and Katie Woodworth for all their support and hard work this season. Thanks girls!!!
