Consol junior safety Kolby Peel has been a busy man of late.

Besides helping anchor a Tigers secondary as they prepare for their 12th straight postseason trip, he’s seen offers from Division I college football programs trickle in seemingly by the week -- some even during the same day. He’s accumulated four offers thus far.

"It's just fun to get that kind of recognition," Peel said. “It feels great to get it now when there’s not as much pressure.”

Peel, who is a three-star recruit according to 247Sports.com, received his first offer from SMU in the spring. He said he’s most familiar with the Mustangs’ coaching staff at this point in the recruiting process.

Things started to heat up for Peel in late October. On Oct. 25 he not only received an offer from Kansas, the first Power Five school to give him an offer, but he also received one from Cincinnati.

“I’m just really appreciative of all the opportunities I’m getting right now,” Peel said.

Things are starting to move quick in Peel’s recruiting process. He received his fourth offer on Monday from Texas State, which he visited last Saturday.  But he’s made sure to take the time to enjoy each moment that comes with the process.

“Typically, whoever’s with me -- I’ve always been around people when I’ve gotten the call -- they’ve been really excited for me,” Peel said. “ It’s just always fun to be able to talk to those coaches and I appreciate all that.”

Peel has gotten plenty recognition from former Consol players and others from around college football in his Twitter posts that have documented his offers.

Tigers coach Dave Raffield expects offers to continue to pour in for Peel, who is tied for the team-lead with two interceptions and is second with 61 tackles. The 6-foot, 195-pound safety is aware he still has plenty of time to make his decision.

“I’m just going to let the recruiting process take care of itself,” Peel said. “I’m going to keep coming out here with my teammates and having fun. But I definitely appreciate all the attention I’ve got lately.”
